Growing up being good at science and loving to work with people, acareer where I get to rehab those going through long-lasting side-effectstake back their lives made a lot of sense. I stumbled into the field ofKinesiology when I noticed how misunderstood “exercise management”can be, and growing up an artsy theatre kid helped me understand justhow broad a category healthy movement can encompass.
I graduated from The University of Toronto with an honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. I also graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College with my doctorate in Chiropractic in 2011. I received my medical acupuncture designation from McMaster University in 2012.
Using biomechanical analysis, I treat a variety of conditions focusing on the root cause of pain and dysfunction. My goal is to continuously educate my patients while returning them to a pre-injury level of function.
The practice of Kinesiology blends someone’s individual biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, and psychosocial factors to treat and prevent injury and disease, and to improve movement and performance. In my practice, I use individualized exercise prescription, as well as a variety of modalities and manual therapy techniques I’ve learned along the way (including Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Release and Scar Mobilization) to help get you manage any longstanding health concerns including post-cancer treatment-related side effects, lymphedema, and post-operative side effects.
